  • The mat rolls up into approximately 2.5 inches by 24 inches/64 x 610 mm with high quality elastic loops to keep it tightly rolled.
  • Phormat photography and spotting mat weights 24 oz or 680 g.
  • The D-rings allow it to be clipped to the Pho-reel Plus shoulder strap, an after-market strap of your choice or clipped to a backpack.
  • PhorMat is useful for many other ground-level activities such as wildlife watching or hunting.

    There are plenty of solutions that you could use for a ground mat but this is the right one. I've used a lot of cheaper pieces of material to get the job done, but it's nice to finally have one that works perfect every time. It's padded elbow areas are a welcome addition. It's very portable and small enough to carry with the rest of your gear. I highly recommend the PhorMat. I don't know how I lived without one!

    PhorMat is exactly what I have been looking for to photograph birds around water with soft damp soil. It is excellently constructed with an impermeable bottom to keep out the moisture. The elbow rest affords extra protection from sharp or hard objects. The eleven inches from the elbow padding to the top of the mat is good space to keep an extra lens or teleconverter handy. It rolls up tight and small and is bound well enough to carry under your arm or attached to a backpack
